Terms of service

The canonical version of these terms is published at scmstudyapp.io/terms. SCM Study also makes the terms available in the app. If a bundled copy is older, the published web version controls.

These terms govern SCM Study and the public websites, newsletters, support, and related online services provided by SCM Education Solutions (together, the "Services"). Separate written agreements govern paid advisory, automation, consulting, or enterprise engagements. By using the Services, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

The service

SCM Study provides original study materials, practice questions, flash cards, analytics, and mock exams for the ASCM/APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) and ISM Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) certifications. SCM Study is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ASCM, APICS, or ISM. Certification requirements and exams are controlled by their respective issuing organizations.

The Services may include a limited free tier. A paid subscription is not required to use the features expressly identified as free. Features, content, and usage limits shown in the app or on the purchase screen form part of the applicable offer.

Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into these terms. You must provide accurate account information, keep login credentials secure, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.

Subscriptions, renewal, and payment

Paid plans are recurring subscriptions. Available billing periods may include monthly, six-month, or annual plans and may differ by platform or location. The purchase screen shows the plan, localized price, billing period, trial or introductory terms (if any), and applicable taxes before you confirm a purchase.

Unless the purchase screen states otherwise, a subscription renews automatically for the same billing period until cancelled. Your billing provider charges the payment method associated with that provider at purchase and at each renewal. Price changes are handled with any notice and consent required by the billing platform and applicable law.

You can manage or cancel an active subscription from Profile → Manage subscription in SCM Study:

  • Google Play purchases are managed through Google Play;
  • Apple purchases are managed through the App Store; and
  • eligible web purchases are managed through the secure customer-portal link supplied by RevenueCat or the applicable web billing provider.

If an in-app management link is unavailable, use the subscription settings for the store where you purchased or contact support@scmeducation.com. Cancellation stops future renewals and normally takes effect at the end of the already-paid billing period, so access continues through that period. Deleting the app or your SCM account does not cancel a subscription.

Purchases, cancellations, refunds, and billing disputes are also subject to the terms and refund rules of the billing provider. Except where required by law or the billing provider's rules, fees already charged are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for a partially used billing period. This does not limit any refund, cancellation, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.

Acceptable use

You may use the Services only for lawful personal or internal business purposes. You may not:

  • share, sell, or transfer account access;
  • copy, scrape, harvest, republish, or systematically extract our content or data except as law expressly permits;
  • resell, redistribute, publicly post, or create unauthorized derivative products from study materials;
  • probe, disrupt, bypass, or interfere with security, access controls, usage limits, or service operation;
  • upload malicious code or use automated traffic that burdens the Services;
  • infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights; or
  • use the Services to violate law or help another person do so.

We may investigate suspected misuse and suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Services, users, or others. We will provide notice and an opportunity to appeal where required by law.

Intellectual property and feedback

The Services, including study materials, questions, explanations, software, designs, and branding, are owned by SCM Education Solutions or its licensors. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. No ownership rights are transferred.

ASCM, APICS, CSCP, ISM, and CPSM are trademarks of their respective owners. If you voluntarily provide product feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or payment, but we do not acquire ownership of personal information contained in that feedback.

Third-party services

The Services depend on third-party platforms such as app stores, authentication providers, hosting providers, and payment processors. Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for a third-party service outside our reasonable control, but this does not affect rights you may have against us under applicable law.

Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep the Services available and accurate, but maintenance, security events, provider outages, and product changes may interrupt access. We may add, remove, or modify features and content. If a change materially reduces a paid service during a current billing period, we will provide any remedy required by law.

Educational disclaimer

The Services are provided for education and exam preparation. They are not an official certification course, exam, or guarantee of passing. Exam content, fees, prerequisites, policies, and results are controlled by the issuing organization. You remain responsible for confirming current requirements with that organization.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties that are not expressly stated in these terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCM will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business opportunity arising from the Services. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid SCM for the Services in the 12 months before the event or US $100.

Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, remedy, right, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer rights.

Ending use of the services

You may stop using the Services at any time. You may delete your account under Profile → Delete Account or at scmeducation.com/account/delete. Account deletion is separate from subscription cancellation, as explained above. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute-related provisions—continue to apply.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the Services, law, or security. We will update the date above and provide any advance notice required by law. If you do not agree to updated terms, stop using the Services and cancel any renewing subscription before the update takes effect.
